Hiking, trekking — what’s the difference? Yeah, we’ve scratched our noggins on that one from time to time, and the best we’ve been able to come up with is this: If everyone around you is speaking a foreign language and you can’t figure out how many funny little money thingies it costs for the shrunken-monkey-head-on-a-stick souvenir, well ... it's probably trekking.
