How To Book
Your
Next Great Adventure Begins Here
Reserving your spot on an expedition is as easy
as 1, 2, 3 —
just complete our
Online Application.
In our never-ending effort to skip out of doing
as much real work as possible we’ve adopted the
paperless office concept, allowing us to
spend less time mired in administrative
drudgery, and more time watching Rikki Lake
reruns.
Of course, you would expect people in our
business to tell you to book your trip early,
lest all manner of awful things befall you. But we really do have
good reasons for telling you that. See, we keep
our team-size small, so most expeditions reach full capacity
in a short time. Also, airlines (thieving
bastards that the are these days; really ...
would it be that much trouble to serve a chicken
sandwich and a Coke?) tend to sell out of their
best fares months in advance. So book
your trip early. Don't make us tell
you again.
Deposit Policy
Our expeditions are filled on
a first-come-first-served basis, and we'd like
to tell you that we regret that we cannot process
your application
without a deposit. Truth be
told, though, we don't regret shit.
You have
any idea what kind of mind numbing work we put
into this? We're not the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation,
you know. No tickie, no laundry, round-eye ... we have
ungrateful kids to put through college.
See, planning
a bitchin' expedition involves
substantial upfront costs; a portion of your
deposit is a nonrefundable administrative fee
used to cover those costs. Think of it as a good
faith promise that you won’t flake out on us and
decide to go to golf camp or some goofy thing like
that, bailing out a
week before the trip and leaving us in a
last-minute scramble to fill your spot.
If
you’re tired of climbing partners bailing on
you, try asking for a deposit upfront and watch
your batting average go up.
Method of Payment
It seems like every time the boys down in the
lab
write a secure program to send credit card
information over the Internet, some 12-year-old
hacker in New Jersey writes a program to defeat it.
Security is a big thing with us, so you can be
confident paying by credit card or inter-bank
wire transfer on our secure payment page.
Balance Due
For expeditions to Mexico or South America, the
balance of your expedition fee is due 90 days
prior to your date of departure; for
expeditions to Asia, the balance is due 120 days prior.
For planning purposes, date of departure is
defined as Day 1 of the expedition’s published
itinerary.
In the event your balance is not received by the
corresponding deadline we will
assume you are unable to participate, and we
reserve the right to resell your spot on the
expedition. Golf camp,
huh? Good luck with that.
Change of Itinerary
All requests for
changes from one itinerary to another must be
sent to
change@expedition-logistics.com
and must be accompanied by a new Online
Application.
Cancellation
All cancellation
requests must be sent to
cancel@expedition-logistics.com
and will be processed on the day they are received
(geez, make up your mind already).
Trip
Cancellation and Traveler's Health Insurance
We do not sell
traveler’s insurance. We do, however, strongly recommend
you purchase insurance from a third party to
protect the investment you have made in your
expedition. Trip cancellation and interruption
insurance protects you against cancellation
and/or interruption of your trip, travel delays,
loss of baggage and travel documents, and
baggage delay. Traveler’s health and evacuation
insurance protects you in case of illness,
injury, rescue, evacuation, medical treatment,
and repatriation. Learn more about traveler’s
insurance and view a list of recommended
travel insurance providers
